IMPs Sound Safari

We'll have fun playing a wide range of percussion instruments - drums, bells, chimes, tubes, shakers, scrapers and sticks - as we explore the sounds, rhythms and beats of Africa.

All our IMPs holiday clubs are fully inclusive, and you don’t need to be a member of IMPs or have any experience in music or playing instruments to take part.  

Our face-to-face sessions are all Covid-secure (find out more about what we're doing to keep everyone safe). If you find social distancing tricky, or you need 1-1 support, we ask that you bring your own support. 

We're limiting numbers for these sessions, so we can keep to our Covid-secure guidelines, so we recommend early booking!

Play at York Museum Gardens

grey York Museum Trust logoA FREE event held for children and families this half term. Join in workshops and explore and play. Giant marble runs, role play spaces and a variety of hands on craft activities.

Share your thoughts on what playing you would like t do in the gardens in the future. Some activities will be held under cover in case of bad weather.

York Theatre Royal's Arts Award Discover in a day

Join York Theatre Royal for a day of drama, creative making and learning about theatre.

Join us for a day working towards achieving an arts qualification called Arts Award Discover. There are three parts to the day:

  1. Discover: find out about different art forms and take part in two creative activities – drama and craft.
  2. Find out: interview a member of our creative theatre team to see what it takes to be a professional theatre-maker.
  3. Share: reflect on your day and what you have learnt and discovered with your peers.

On completing the day, you will sent an Arts Award Discover certificate.

York Theatre Royal's Princess and the Pea

Set in the Museum of Forgotten Things, three musical curators, tell the amazing tale of the museums artefacts including the mystery of a little green pea and how it got there. This one hour of fun is packed with humour and memorable songs, including a romp through every type of princess you can imagine, with hilarious costumes to match.

The audience meet a demanding queen, an array of wannabe princesses, and our main characters, an unknown girl who is blown into the palace by a gust of wind, and an indecisive prince under pressure to find his real princess.

Will he ever find a real princess or his happy ever after?

For children aged 3+ and their families at York Theatre Royal from October 21-26. Book via our Box Office.

Door84 Halloween Event

Kool Kids Club Holiday Club

Happy Healthy Holidays - York City Football Club

Images of children playing football on green grassYork City FC Foundation are pleased to announce we have yet another fantastic offer for York School pupils who are eligible for FREE SCHOOL MEALS. Please don't let miss out.

Over the summer we were able to offer spaces through the Government funding however that does not cover half terms, We though have been able to secure funding through the National League Trust to make this offer available over the upcoming holiday. Spaces are LIMITED and will be offered on a first come first served basis.

We really want to ensure that those families who need the additional support with holiday provision are able to access this service where we will also provide snacks and lunch each day.

 York City Football Club Foundation Holiday Courses are run for ages 5 - 13 years old and are packed full of fun, enjoyment and excitement.

The course day starts with small-sided games, team challenges and individual games; the afternoon will involve our famous football manager game as well as further exciting and fun games that allow all children to enjoy the Holiday Course Experience.

Players should wear suitable comfortable clothing and footwear for all activities, taking into account the nature of the venue. Rainwear, suncream and sun hat may be required and should be worn/provided for the young player.

Aged: 5 - 13 years old

United Adventure Camps
