Crafts and activities for all ages to enjoy making.
You will need:
Using a pom pom maker wrap coloured yarn around the pom pom maker and ensuring the whole pom pom maker is covered. Wrap around as much as you like until you are happy with the amount of wraps completed. leaving about 2 cm of yarn cut.
Repeat on the other half of the pom pom maker and again cut excess yarn, leaving about a length of 2cm. This will be trimmed later.
Using scissors, find the slit where the two halves of the pom pom maker meet and carefully cut along. Repeat on the other side.
Take a length of yarn, roughly 30 cms but bare in mind you might want to use this to hang your pumpkin up, and slot the yarn through the gap in the pom pom maker and cross the ends of each other and pull to create a knot. Repeat about 5 times, to make the 2 halves of the pom pom secure.
Cut out eyes and a mouth from felt and glue in to place.
You now have a pom pom pumpkin!
Why not make pom pom ghosts, Frankenstein's, mummies or witches or anything else you can think of?! We'd love to see your efforts this half term holiday so please get in touch!
What you will need
What you will need:
Create a star shape with the sticks.
Tie yarn around the sticks, wrapping the yarn around several times, making a knot to keep the sticks secure.
Working from the centre outwards, weave the yarn over one stick and under, and do the same to the next stick, working towards you.
Repeat, weaving the yarn under and over backwards working your way outwards along the sticks, until you reach the end. Tie a knot and leave a length of yarn so you can hang the spiderweb. Cut at desired length.
Once finished, why not make some pom pom creatures to hang inside your web!
