What can you access?



Learning and Work Information, Advice and Guidance

Trained Learning and Work Advisers work across the city and come to 30 Clarence Street to provide a Specialist Information, Advice and Guidance service to young people who are aged 16- 18 (up to their 19th birthday) and who are either:

  • Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET), or
  • are considering leaving their employment, education or training or
  • those who are in the care of the Local Authority or in alternative education provision or in the youth justice system.

The Learning and Work Advisers provide information, advice and guidance through appointments, group work and workshops at arranged times during the day that suit the needs of young people and they will also have available appointments at other locations across the city.

Drop-in to speak to a Learning and Work Advisor @ 30 Clarence Street on:

Tuesdays 12:30 – 3:30pm

Fridays 11am – 3pm

From 1st January 2019 the Young People’s counselling service will be delivered through York Mind. Referrals for this service can now be made through the York Mind website
