Working with Young People

The Young People's Information Service provides impartial information and signposting to young people aged up to 25 years,living in York and to practitioners working with and or supporting young people.

The service maintains the online Young People's Survival Guide and works with partners across York to ensure the information available in the online Survival Guide is accurate and conveys up to date information and messages to York's young people.

The Information Service is made up of a small team of Information Officers, who will answer queries from anyone wishing to access the service.

Since August 2021 the Information Service is part of the Communities and Prevention Service within the Customer and Communities directorate.
