Children and Young People's Service (IDAS)

The Children and Young People's Service provides practical and emotional support to children and young people between 5-16 years who have, or are currently experiencing Domestic Abuse. This includes:
Safety planning - Looking at ways to keep safe at home and for the future.
Talking about experiences of domestic abuse and helping children to come to an age appropriate understanding of what has happened and how to move forward.
Emotional support - Including confidence building, raising self esteem, recognising and dealing with feelings appropriately and anger management.
Healthy Relationships - helping children to understand what a healthy relationship looks like.
Raising Awareness - Offering support to other agencies to promote the importance of recognising the effects of domestic abuse on children at an early age.
RESPECT Young People's Programme – The waiting list is currently closed. Please contact us for further information on how we may be able to support yourself or your child.
