We aim to provide quality provision in a safe, happy, stimulating and homely environment, working in partnership with parents/carers. Children's care is our main priority, where children can have their say and be involved in the decisions made about their learning and development. We provide a homely environment where we pride ourselves on the relationship we have with parents and carers. We provide the children with fresh cooked meals and make full use of the nature reserve in Poppleton, located behind the nursery. 5% discount for a full time place and sibling discount. Closed Christmas week and Bank Holidays.
Closes for Christmas on the 24th December at 1pm and re-opens 2nd of January.

Inclusion statement

All childcare and services should make reasonable adjustments to support disabled children and young people or those with additional needs. Below is a statement from this provider about their inclusive practice and levels of experience of supporting different needs

Both our Manager and deputy manager has completed the York City Council SENCo training. We have worked with a variety of children with different needs and have supported many families through speech and language referrals. We are quick to identify concerns and will always ensure that our concerns are passed onto parents in a sensitive and supportive manner.

We work and care for children with dietary requirements and supports children appropriately. Allergy Awareness level 2 training has taken place to ensure children are provided with the appropriate food. Children from other cultures are supported within the setting. One member of staff is trained in Makaton Baby sign and another who is trained in Makaton upto stage 4. We have had experience of caring for looked after children and children with EAL. We have support programmes in place for children with speech and language requirements and work along side a speech and language therapist. We have a trained Senco coordinator in nursery.

Early talk boosts, variety of training available for all staff, highly trained and qualified staff, SEN Toolkit, Partnership, Every child a talker

Our Manager has got a Bachelors Degree from the University in Tromso, Norway where she has worked in several different nurseries and schools. She holds the equivilant to a level 6 UK. Our deputy manager has a foundation degree equivilant to level 5. Both our other senior staff are currently in the process of achieveing their level 5 qualifications. We have two apprentices one level 2 qualified staff memeber and 4 staff who hold a full and relevant level 3 qualification.

All staff have access to online training courses through &quot;Noodle Now&quot;. Staff are also encouraged to find appropriate courses through the Council's MyLO website, two staff members have undertaken the CYC SENCo training. Another staff member has also completed the CYC Makaton and training
