Acting Up! Youth Theatre

Guildhall Ward, York

Acting Up! is an inclusive Youth Theatre, specifically for Young people with disabilities and additional needs. Sessions are run at a pace to suit our members with extra support from skilled staff and volunteers. You do not need to audition to get in - you just need an interest in drama.

Each term we explore different creative projects. A term may be spent in rehearsal for a scripted performance, open to the public, or it may focus on drama skills, and result in a 'sharing of work' at the end of term. Everyone has the chance to contribute to the direction of the work, and develops their own skills in devising and creating their own performance.

Acting Up! is supported by BBC Children in Need and has been awarded the 'Good Place to Come' Award by PACT.

Each term (approximately 10 weeks) costs £70.
