Your child will already have been identified as having special educational needs or disabilities, which are likely to have implications for their access to educational provision. If your child attends an early years setting, they may have been supported at the stage known as Early Years Special Educational Needs Support or have a My Support Plan or they will have an Education, Health and Care Plan or a Statement of Special Educational Needs.
If your child has complex additional needs you may have an early support keyworker to support them through transition into school. If your child does not have an early support keyworker you may ask for advice and support in choosing the right school for your child.
Practitioners and professionals need to be clear about issues relating to school admissions so that the right information is given to parents/carers at the right time. This includes how parents/carers can access information for themselves.
If you would like help with finding further information or have any questions, please ask one of the people working with you.
