Take a look at the Money Matters information. Here you can apply for a Max Card – a great discount card that will allow you and your family free or discounted entry to a number of attractions around York and the surrounding area. You will also find information on other discounts available and plenty of advice on other benefits and financial advice including Disability Living Allowance and Personal Independence Payments.
We have put together information on Parent Carer Support. Here you can find a wide number of parent carer support groups within the local area and lots of other sources of support and information.
There are a wide range of accessible clubs, sports and things to do listed here with a link to the great Disability Sports Directory, an accessible website with lots of clear and concise information on sports to try out and get involved in.
Under the Education tab you will find lots of information broken into the Primary, Secondary and Post 16 stages of education. There is advice on choosing and applying for places, transition support and details on the specialist teachers teams – and a lot more. You can also find information on “what you can reasonably expect” from schools and your SEND teams.
