YORK AUTISTIC’S MEET UP (YAM) GROUP -
FOR ADULTS ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM INCLUDING ASPERGER’S SYNDROME
This group is for autistic adults (18+) who would like to meet other autistic people with similar experiences.
This group is starting up again and there will be members of the Autism Inclusive Communities Group present during the initial phase to support the setting up of the group.

The next Integrated Services Conference will provide you with information on the wide range of education services that York has to offer. At this conference we will be joined by speakers from Door84, Local Area Coordinators, The Island, Vale of York, The Early Years Team, and Accessible Arts. The Island are going to be a part of this years York 10K where the runners will embark on a mammoth challenge to raise funds for local, regional and national charities.
Adolescent is York's biggest and best music festival. It has acts, stalls, bars, food and attractions for the whole family. There will be a family friendly funfair along with all of the traditional festival stalls.
A life is lost through suicide every two hours in the UK but suicidal thoughts and feelings affect thousands of us every single day.
The #TalkSuicide campaign has been created by the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership to get rid of the stigma around talking about suicide by raising awareness of free suicide prevention training available from the Zero Suicide Alliance.
Anyone can suffer from suicidal thoughts but every one of us can make a difference.
Over 100 people took part in York Celebrates Autism on Saturday 6th April at Spark York. People were welcomed to a warm, relaxed atmosphere with activities downstairs for folk, including Lego, Duplo, arts and crafts, up-cycling. Some children accessed the garden and many enjoyed the great cafes in the building.
