Educational Psychology Service Supporting Staff through COVID-19

The City of York Educational Psychology Service has now completed a series of five e-modules to support staff through the COVID-19 pandemic.  We hope these resources will help to promote the well-being of children and young people, as well as staff, prior to and following the wider opening of educational settings.

In addition to the 5 themed modules, there is a brief introductory e-module (module 1) which we recommend you view first since it provides an overview and instructions for the remaining modules.

The e-modules are intended to be completed in the suggested order:
1.        Introduction
2.        Staff Wellbeing
3.        Trauma and Stress
4.        Loss and Bereavement
5.        Fostering Resilience
6.        Emotion Coaching
Most of the modules are approximately 15-20 minutes long and have been created to be short and accessible. The Loss and Bereavement module is longer but can be viewed in 2 halves.

The modules can be viewed separately by individuals or as a staff team with follow up discussion. We hope you will find them useful, especially as part of the wider opening of schools and settings.

The modules are ‘read only’ and you may be asked to agree to external content for viewing video clips (which are often on Youtube).
