The information will be shared with agencies in the YorOK partnership including the Healthy Child Services and other childhood council services who share a commitment to improving children’s lives and work to meet the need of each and every child. Sharing this information will enable the Local Area Teams to work effectively with other childhood services to provide the right level of early help support for children, young people and their families, including where and how to access services they may need.

York Parent Carer Forum aims to support and represent the views of families of children and young people age 0-25 who have a disability or additional need and access services in York.


Membership is free and includes meetings with guest speakers, a regular newsletter with information about strategic meetings and the outcomes and details of events and activities you can attend .We hold training sessions for parents on areas such as sensory processing, speech, language and communication needs and managing anxiety .


We inform and seek views from members on topical subjects and services by holding workshops and events on themes such as Preparing for Adulthood, Inclusion and Therapy services.

York Carers Centre are a local independent charity who gives free help to unpaid carers living, or caring for someone who lives, in York. Support can be given over the phone, at the office, or we can arrange to see carers at home or in another suitable place.

We offer carers:
