Young People's Learning and Work Advisors

Learning and Work Advisors are working remotely and are continuing to provide impartial information, advice and guidance to young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) between the ages of 16 and 18
The 30 Clarence Street drop in is now closed for face to face appointments, however, requests and messages will be responded to by email, follow up phone calls or via social media. Priority support is being given to Children in Care from year 8, with emphasis on year 11’s.
They will be working with their contacts in 10 local schools with a support package for year 11’s.

Future Goals

Future Goals can help you if you are 15-24 and are:

  • unsure on your next steps in employment or education
  • applying for work or apprenticeships and have interviews coming up
  • need help finding work or an apprenticeship job
  • wanting interview tips
  • requiring a CV
  • wanting to gain more confidence or help managing anxiety

Future Goals is currently offering remote support to young people and can help you whether you are ready to work now, or you would like support deciding your next steps in employment or education.

If you are 19 or older, Aspire-Igen offers employablity and skills programmes, practical guidance and support towards your next steps in learning and work.

Young Women's Trust

If you are a woman aged 18-30, you can access free Work It Out telephone coaching to help you access the future you want.
