  • Castlegate

Every month a group of young people who are (or have been) in care meet with some City of York Councillors. They talk about how things can be made better for Children and Young People who are Looked After. The group is called "Show me I matter!"

  • Young people help to recruit key staff

Young people have been involved in appointing key staff for the city council. They were involved in recruiting for the Director of Childrens Services and 3 new Assistant Directors. Click here for more information.

  • YoZone card

relaunched, better discounts in more places. Transport costs have been a constant theme of concern from young people. To promote the YO-Zone card in schools and to ensure the greatest possible take up of the card, a series of roadshows were run in secondary schools so that young people could easily obtain the cards.
