What is the YorOK Children’s Trust

Our Children’s Trust is a partnership of organisations responsible for services for children, young people and families. These organisations share a commitment to improve children’s lives and to work together to ensure every child has his or her needs met.

In York the Children’s Trust is known as ‘YorOK’. The YorOK Board is made up of senior representatives from the key organisations that work with children, young people and families. This Board oversees the planning and development of services for children, young people and families.

There are many different partnership groups underneath the YorOK Board that focus on specific areas. You can find out more about these on the partnerships page.

Our workforce aspirations are described in our Children and Young People's Plan. For more information  contact Chris Shipley at the Workforce Development Unit on 01904 553017.
