Shine is here!!!
Shine magazine will be available in school's, libraries and community centres from the first week in July.
Shine is replacing School's Out as York's best activities magazine! It's not just about the holidays anymore, from now Shine will be the place to go to find out about anything you want to get involved in during your free time.
Whether you want to develop your sporting skills, artistic talents or if you are looking for something totally new. Summer 2010 can be your time to Shine!
Did you know?
In 2010 City of York Council will aim to ensure that you are able to take up at least 10 hours of cultural activities per week – every week! This could be 5 hours in school and 5 hours out of school. Shine is where it all happens and whatever you are into or want to have a go at you can find information about what there is on offer here!
We also have a blog that will keep you up to date with everything!
Me Too subsidy
If you are having trouble accessing some of the activities and courses then the Me Too scheme may be for you, talk to your parents or your school about it. You may be eligible for free places on activities or there may be more going on at your school than you realize!
