Musical Connections At Glen Lodge

Heworth Ward, York

Community singing and music-making in a relaxed and sociable setting. No musical training required. Wide variety of musical styles and activities. Plenty of opportunity to incorporate personal favourites and new ideas. Newcomers warmly welcomed.

Through the provision of opportunities for musical and social interaction between tenants of CYC's sheltered housing with extra care schemes and members of the local community, these groups are intended to improve the emotional, physical and social wellbeing of participants. They are particularly focussed on reducing social isolation and giving people increased confidence and a sense of purpose.
