Description

I offer play therapy to children of all abilities aged between 3-11 yrs either individually or in small groups.
Play Therapy is a method of supporting children with emotional, social or behavioural difficulties to help themselves through play. They can learn to cope with their feelings in a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I work in schools, community and private settings in York and the surrounding area. Sessions are usually 45 minutes long and take place weekly at the same place and the same time. I offer a minimum of 6 sessions up to a maximum of 36 sessions (12 sessions is the average). I also offer creative arts therapy to adults with learning disabilities who have emotional, social or behavioural difficulties.
Each play therapy session costs £40. This cost may be negotiable.
I am on the PTUK Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapy that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I am a member of Play Therapy UK, membership no. 20097188.
