Bridge House - Sexual Assault Referral Centre

Micklegate Ward, York

Description

Bridge House is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre providing a dedicated service for men or women who have been raped or sexually assaulted recently or in the past.
We offer a safe and welcoming environment which focuses on your individual needs offering emotional and practical support. We accept self referral victims who have experienced rape or sexual assault either recently or historically.
It’s your choice if you wish to report your crime to the police for them to fully investigate it. At Bridge House we will be able to explore this option and what it means with you. We can provide you an informed choice and help you to report to police. You will not be pressured to reporting to the police. We are here to give you an informed choice of the options available to you.
When you contact us a member of staff will discuss your options with you and discuss any concerns you may have.
You will receive full support from the centre – no matter what choice you make.
Confidentiality
At Bridge House we offer a confidential service. However, there are occasions where the centre has a legal duty to inform others (this may be for example where a child or a vulnerable adult is at risk). This will be discussed with you.
