A York based UK charity working with vulnerable, hard to reach & disengaged children & young adults aged 11 to 25.

The Hand Wraps & Advocates is a Healthy relationship initiative delivered through sport Using sport as a tool of engagement and trust for children, youth, parents & their communities.

Our Off the Hook project was set up through a grant by York & North Yorkshire Police to help & refer disengaged & hard to reach children.

Areas of work are:
o Young males and healthy relationships. (Including Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and Muslim communities)
o Parent support of CSE and relationship concerns.
o Alternative Learning Provision
o CSE Training provider
o York Boxing Club

Young males and healthy relationships: Hand Wraps & Advocates is a sport initiative offering workshops and advice to male children and young adults aged 11 to 25yrs.

Parent support around Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and relationship concerns:
The Jack Raine Foundation works with parents and carers to understand the complexity of their children’s relationships, what children access via the internet and how it compares to a healthy relationship. By raising awareness of these issues the foundation aims to reduced sexual exploitation and promote positive and healthy relationships.

Parents phone line support:As part of this work a 24hr monitored phone line is available to support parents & carers.

Alternative Learning Provision: Working with pupils from The Danesgate Community and High Schools in York offering sport related or complex needs education.
CSE Training provider: We offer Intermediate & Basic Awareness Level Training accredited to Just Whistle, UKRLP. Accredited specialist training for Professionals working with Children including Sports Clubs is available to complement existing experience & knowledge. The training is CSE specific.

York Boxing Club: Affiliated to England Boxing, York Boxing Club is located in the city centre and is York’s oldest boxing club established in 1966. Offer low cost training for fitness or technique from ages 11 to adult.
