Zoo Skatepark (Under Sainsbury's Car Park)

The Zoo Skatepark is an indoor skatepark for skateboards, rollerblades, scooters and BMX activities. It is run by the City of York Council in parntership with The Zoo Skatepark.
As well as it’s indoor skatepark facility it also has outdoor concrete micro mini, grind boxes, rails as well as a ’skate cafe & skate shop’ on site. It is known as the best pound for pound skate park in Yorkshire with the best atmosphere.
The aim of the Zoo Skatepark is to provide a high quality and exciting venue for people of all ages that have an interest in skateboarding, rollerblading, Scooter or BMX activities to be active, participate in sport, develop their skills, learn new things and most of all have fun.
The Zoo Skatepark aims to engage people from all parts of the community to use the skatepark including those from social, economic or culturally disadvantaged backgrounds and the site will provide an exciting and engaging venue to deliver other social, educational and community activities.

Monday - Rollerblades - 6:00pm - 9:00pm - £3

Tuesday - Skateboards - 6:00pm - 9:00pm - £3

Wednesday - CLOSED/Private Hire

Thursday - Skateboards - 6:00pm - 9:00pm - £3

Friday - Scooters - 6:00pm - 9:00pm - £3

Saturday - Scooters - 12:00pm - 1.30pm - £1.50

Saturday - Skateboards - 1.30pm - 3:00pm - £1.50

Sunday - CLOSED/Private Hire

Helmet Hire = 50p
Private Hire (2 Hours) = £100

The Zoo Skatepark is accessible to children aged 5 and above. Under 11s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Under 16s must wear helmets.

Everyone must sign in upon arrival and pay before they skate/ride.

All of The Zoo Skatepark Staff are DBS checked and first aid trained.
