This project will offer a varied programme of activities including:
trips out to seaside, cinema, sports, bowling, theatre, arts, science day and much more, cookery, Creepie Crawlies. Children will have a choice of activities and will be offered at least 12 days during the summer. We also plan on having a camping trip for two nights.

A wide array of craft and play opportunities for the children to try and experience within a bright and caring environment. As well as planned activities, children can enjoy sporting and gaming equipment, arts, crafts, dressing up, role play, construction. The main themes for the summer holiday period are: tennis & tennis skills; water fun, splash and play but remember to come prepared; creative dance, moving and grooving; sunshine appliqué, design and make your own summer wall hanging; sun charms, colour and hang your own stained glass decorations. A fantastic opportunity to take part in learning how to produce and stage a show. An experienced drama teacher (Nicky Copley) will be working alongside the children, helping them to put together the show. The group will be provided with the opportunity to perform the show to an appreciative audience on the final day. Please note that the booking should be made for the whole week and your child be able to attend of the final Friday evening for the finished performance.

Nature week will see us looking at mini beasts and exploring our countryside for some really wild excitement. We will also tend to our allotment, sprucing up the beds and bringing back the fruit and vegetables planted throughout the year for cooking and eating.

Dunnington Children

This summer we will be doing a variety of fun summer activities. We are going to have a trip to Newby Hall near Ripon on the 13th of August for the Matombo Sculpture experience (children’s stone carving) (£12.50 additional charge), we are also going to Eureka on the 25th of August (£9.00 additional charge). We will be doing a variety of art and craft activities such as mod roc, collage, hand painting, feet painting, mosaic tiling and much more. There will be lots of outdoor sports such as football, tag rugby, tennis and cricket. There will also be lots of opportunities to go to the park and the local woods as well as playing games on the school field. To end the holidays with a bang we will be having a water play fun day with a barbeque included on the 31st of August. (Please bring a towel and a change of clothes!!!)
