Netballability

City of York Athletics Club

'No Limits' Disability Athletics every Friday from 7.15pm - 8.15pm at Huntington Stadium. For further details contact Club Development Officer Paula Bird on 07761 530931.

Tag Rugby

New Tag Rugby Club for anyone aged 8 – 19 years with a learning or physical disability. Acorn Tagability Club runs every Wednesday from 6.00 – 7.00pm at Acorn ARLFC, Thanet Road, Acomb York, YO24 2NW. Cost £2.00 per session starting 13th January 2010. Tennisability

The Junior Sportsability Club

The Junior Sportsability Club is for 8 - 16 year olds on Tuesdays 4.15 - 5.45pm at a cost of £2.40 for more information contact Energise, Cornlands Road, YORK on 01904 552424.

Football

For those interested in Football Copmanthorpe Junior Ability Counts coaching (7 – 16 years) on Fridays 6.00 – 7.00pm at Energise (indoors). Also the North Yorkshire Disability Centre of Excellence for football, which will be running on Friday evenings at Energise. The centre will potentially feed players directly into one of England's 7 international squads Blind, Partially Sighted, Deaf and Hearing Impaired, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities and Amputee. Energise Swimming Pool

Energise is offering their Swimability sessions for people with disabilities and their carers on Mondays 7.30 - 8.30pm and Sundays 3.00 - 4.00pm, for more information contact Energise on 01904 552424.

FREE learn to swim courses for children and young people with disabilities aged 11 - 16 years. The ideal course to start on the path to learning to swim. Lessons will be tailored to individuals needs and have no more than four pupils in a group. Cycling

York St. Johns Inclusive Activity Club

This is a new club focussing initially on Boccia and New Age Kurling on Saturdays 10.30am - 12noon for young people aged 16 years and older. For more information try their website or  for more information contact Simon Kumar on 07932 602605.

KEEN

This is a games and activities session for children with learning difficulties and special needs aged 8 - 11 years. Activities include stretches, races, gentle sports and 'ice-breaker' games. Run by University volunteers between 1.00 – 2.00pm in The University of York Sports Centre every Sunday during University term time.

Sport For All

In partnership with City of York Council Specialist Teaching Team we offer a termly 'Sport For All' which is a sport and leisure activities session for young people with physical and other disabilities.
