Children and Young People's Plan

The main purpose of the Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP) is to provide a clear sense of direction for everybody working to improve outcomes for children and young people in the city. However, it has another purpose, which is to help young people understand what it is that they can reasonably expect the city to do for them and how they might make a contribution themselves. Integrated Working

The Every Child Matters agenda is about taking an holistic view of children and their development. Partnership working between agencies such as health, social services education and the voluntary and community sectors, with local authorities and with parents is essential to improve outcomes for children. The delivery of integrated frontline services to improve outcomes for children and young people needs to be supported by more integrated processes. Click here to find out more about York's approach, download key documents, request training and more.

Children and Young People's Workforce Development

The overall aim of the Children and Young People's Workforce Strategy is to enable and equip the workforce to deliver high quality services, improve outcomes for children, young people and their families and to be able to respond flexibly and effectively to the Every Child Matters agenda. This section gives a more detailed outline of the vision and aspirations of the Children and Young People's Workforce Strategy.
