Childminder Party in the Park 2008
This years Childminder Party in the Park took place on Thursday 8th May 2008 at Rowntrees Park and proved another huge success, with childminders attending from all areas of the city, and prospective childminders registering their interest. If you attended the event please tell us what you thought of the event using the voting buttons on the right of this page.
A range of exciting activities were held throughout the day including music, bouncy castle, face painting, balloon modelling and craft activities giving current and potential childminders the opportunity to network and gain information on the inspirational and rewarding world of childminding.
Information was made available in relation to training and development, the registration process, and current employment opportunities within the city. Current childminders were also able to register with the Steps endorsed quality assurance schemes.
Children were encouraged to come along to the event dressed as a character from their favourite book and were given a free bookmark to celebrate the year of reading
“ We were really pleased with the day, both children and childminders had a fantastic day, enjoying the fine weather and participating in fun and educational activities. “ Said Karen Darley of the Family Information Service York.
