We are an independent voluntary counselling organisation based in York since 1993 offering a short-term professional counselling service to the community.
1-2-1 Counselling holds organisational membership of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and observes their counselling policies and best practices. Our counsellors are all experienced, professionally trained and individual members of the BACP or other professional bodies whose ethical frameworks they also follow.
Those who could find counselling of value may:
• Be anxious, panicky or depressed
• Have personal or relationship problems
• Experience eating disorders or phobias
• Have been physically or mentally abused
• Be experiencing divorce or redundancy
• Have important decisions to make

Our funding for running costs comes entirely from voluntary donations and grants. Whilst no-one is refused help, we ask you to consider a donation to help towards the continued provision of our service, bearing in mind that each session costs 1-2-1 Counselling £10 to provide.
