Online updating

To make life easier York Family Information Service has introduced online updating to services registered on the YorOK website. This will allow you to login any time of day or night and make sure the information we hold about you is correct.

Why would I want to make sure my details are correct?

There are a few key reasons why you should make sure your details are correct.

  • 68% of parents use the information held by YorkFIS to find childcare and family services (Source: Childcare provision - talkabout panel questionnaire 26, Sept 2006).
  • If your information is right with YorkFIS it will be right in lots of different places. Your information is given out over the telephone, through Children’s Centres, through schools, by email, by post, face to face and online through the YorOK website, Direct.gov and other approved 3rd party websites.
  • We have to make sure your details are checked at least once every 3 months for childcare providers and every 6 months for service providers. If your information is older than this then we can’t give your information out to families.
