YorOK Involvement Work

It is the right of children, young people and families to be involved in planning, design, delivery and evaluation of services (see UN Convention Rights of Child). It is the responsibility of services and workers to ensure that this involvement can take place. York’s involvement strategy sets out the principles for this work as well as identifying priorities for 2008-11. Click here to download the strategy.

  • Yor-OK Involvement Group – This group can give advice on the best ways to carry out successful Involvement. Members of the group have experience across a wide range of services and are committed to developing best practice in Involvement work across York.

  • Good Practice – Use this good practice guide to make sure your work will be of the highest standard. It includes examples of Policies drawn up by different agencies as well as links to useful websites. We all face many of the same issues. These policies give an indication on how they have been tackled.
