Financial help while studying
If you are 11 to 16 years old you can get a YoZone card which gives you discounted bus travel and money off going out.
16+
If you are 16+ and on a full-time course at College or Sixth Form, you may be able to get finanical help…
Education Maintenance Allowance: you may be entitled to up to £30 per week, depending on your household income. Your school/college or Connexions will be able to help you apply for this.
Learner Support Funds: if you are struggling financially, or need help with personal hardship, you may be entitled to Learner Support Funds. Just ask at school/college.
Money to Learn Toolkit: the Money to Learn Toolkit provides an introduction to the Learner Support Programme and how it provides financial support for learners aged 16+.
18+
If you are 18+ and taking Higher Education course, like a degree, here are some helpful websites:

Specific Careers
Certain vocational degree courses, eg social work or nursing may be eligible for bursaries. There may also be opportunities to apply for sponsorships/scholarships. These are some of the website you may find useful:

- Dance and Drama courses
- Armed Forces sponsorships for undergraduates
