You can make a difference!

Parents/carers taking an interest in their children’s education really does make a huge difference. Encouragement at home will help your child to achieve more in school and in other aspects of their life.

What’s on offer?

Family Learning courses are for people who would like to find out how they can help and encourage their children to learn, but would also like to brush up their own skills.

Courses include:

•  How children learn to read
• Play and language 
•  Make number games to play with children 
•  Sharing books with babies and young children 
•  Keeping up with the children in maths or English

Or do something for yourself!

Skills for Life courses are for adults who would like to improve their English or maths and gain a nationally recognised qualification up to National Test level 2. Our links with Future Prospects help to keep you informed of further learning and work opportunities.

Best of all

All of our courses are free, and most have free childcare. Groups are small and friendly and you work at your own level and pace. We run term-time, daytime and evening classes as well as flexible learning opportunities, in the children’s centres and out in the community.
