Social networks

Many people make use of social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter for all sorts of different things. There are quite a few online groups aimed at families in York and we’ve pulled these together into a handy list. If you know of any others or have one you would like to promote then please let us know by calling Family Information Service on 01904 554444 or by emailing fis@york.gov.uk.

These groups are run by other parents and people in the community and the council does not have control over them. We are giving the details of the groups here to let people know what is out there and not as an endorsement of them or their content. As always, make sure to take sensible steps when using the internet and in particular social networking sites. You can get lots of helpful information about using the internet safely by visiting www.thinkuknow.org.uk.
