Supported Internships

Supported Internships are a combination of work based experience and improving and developing transition skills ready for adulthood. Supported Internships in York are offered through a number of different agencies including Blueberry Academy, Project Choice and United Response.

 

United Response

United Response believe in equal opportunities for all. They provide a range of training, employment, care and support opportunities for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and physical disabilities within the York area. 

 

 

Access to Work

Access to Work is a government programme aimed at supporting disabled people to take up or remain in work.

30 Clarence Street

30 Clarence Street provides those who are not currently in education, employment or training (and aged 16-25 years) with confidential counselling and provide signposting for services- this includes advice on health matters and relationships, housing, benefits and working. 

Learning and Work Advisors are available from 30 Clarence Street- they are there to help you get a better understanding of the option available to you and help you to gain the employment/ training opportunities you want.
