Welcome to York's Childrens Centres

There are nine children's centres in York offering a variety of services including:

  • Open access groups
  • Family Learning courses
  • Parenting programmes
  • Health drop ins
  • Childminder groups

Baby Scales

Self-weigh facilities available: An opportunity to weigh your own baby. Suitable for most babies up to 12 months. There is no need to book – please drop in and ask for access to the scales.

Warm Phone

A free phone available with direct line to all City of York Council services; public services including housing and benefits advice and other services that parents may need to call. There is no need to book- please drop in and ask for access to the phone.

Public Access Computer

A computer that is available and free to use to contact public services; search for jobs or benefits advice and other web based services that parents or volunteers may need to access. There is no need to book- please drop in and ask for access to the computer
