18+

By the time you reach 18, you'll need to have thought about questions like these:

• Do you have a career area or job in mind? If so, what qualifications do you need?
• Are you planning to study full-time?
• Would you prefer to start work?
• Do you want to travel?
• Are you likely to need extra support?

Higher Education

Degrees, diplomas and foundation degrees can be taken at universities, colleges of further and higher education and specialist colleges (eg music and drama).

Gap Year

Time out before starting a course, to travel, get work experience, or both!

Employment

Starting work, usually with the opportunity to train in the workplace. You may also want to consider starting your own business.
