How do I log in

  1. Go to the WDU website at http://www.yorkworkforcedevelopment.org.uk/
  2. Under “Quick Links” on the right hand side of the screen, click “Log in
  3. Enter your registered web user ID in the box
  4. Enter your old password in the Password box
  5. Click “Log in

How do I book onto an event

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Locate the course you require
  3. Click on the course name to bring up the course details; you can read the course outline and check the location of the course, alternative dates, fees and any pre-course requirements that might be in place

To the right hand side of the screen you can see how many places are still available.

  1. Click on “Apply Now
  2. Read messages about personal details, pre-requisites and clashes, and if all is well, click on “Proceed
  3. Wait for the confirmation message to appear, confirming that your place is booked
  4. Click on “Close Window”
  5. You will receive an email confirming your place with details about date, times, location and any other information you need

If a course is closed, you may still be able to book by contacting WDU for last minute places – email wdu@york.gov.uk or telephone 01904 553017.

How do I see my future event bookings

  1. Log in to your account
  2. At the top left hand side of the screen move the mouse pointer over “Training” and click on “View My Applications”
  3. For more information about the training you have booked, click on the magnifying glass to the right hand side of the event

How do I cancel my place

It's a good idea to read our course cancellation policy for information about cancelling a course and the impact this has on fees.

To cancel your place using your online account:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Locate the course you require to cancel your place
  3. Click on “Withdraw application
  4. Click on "Ok"

How do I view my training history

If you have an online account with us you can view your training history online, print a copy or save it as a PDF document.

To view online, save or print your training history:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. At the top left hand side of the screen move the mouse pointer over “Training” and click on “My training history”

To print a copy of the report or save as a PDF document:

  1. Click on the “Print training history” at the right hand side of the screen
  2. Enter the dates you want the report to cover; you can either enter the date directly or click on the calendar symbol next to the date boxes to pick the date instead
  3. Complete any other options you want to choose, and then click “Run report” at the top left hand side of the screen
  4. Click “Print”, this will bring up the printer options for your printer
  5. Select your printer or the “PDF creator” option from the list, then click the “Print” button; your document will print or allow you to save a PDF document to your computer
  6. Log in to your account
  7. At the top of the screen move the mouse pointer over “People” and click on “Update My Details”
  8. Update the details on the form, completing any items marked with a *
  9. Click on “Update” at the bottom right hand side of the page, scrolling down the page if necessary

I forgot my password

Passwords are case sensitive, which means you will need to use the same combination of numbers and capital or lower-case letters etc each time.

The system can automatically send your details to you.

  1. Go to the WDU website at http://www.yorkworkforcedevelopment.org.uk/
  2. Under “Quick Links” on the right hand side of the screen, click “Log in
  3. Enter your registered web user ID in the box
  4. Click on “Password Reminder

The system will email account details to you

How do I change my password

  1. Log in to your account
  2. At the top right hand side of the screen move the mouse pointer over “Sign Out
  3. From the menu which appears, click on “Change Password
  4. If the “Current Password” box is empty, type in your old password
  5. In the “New Password” box type in your new password
  6. In the “Confirm Password” box type in your new password again
  7. Click on “Update

Your password is now changed and you can use it next time you log in. You will need to use the same combination of numbers and capital or lower-case letters etc each time
