Supported workplaces can help you to develop skills such as time management, independence and the opportunity to learn new skills and experiences.

They have a fully working nursery and craft workshop and a social group for its members.

Krumbs (United Response)

United response have lots of employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities in the York area. 

Krumbs is run by United Response and offer supported training in the City of York Council's staff Cafe West and Kitchen environment. Individuals learn on the job experience in a professional and real working environment. Skills learned include, time management, customer service and kitchen based skills.

Yorkcraft (Now linked with CYC Greenworks)

Yorkcraft provide supported employment for adults with learning disabilities. There are a range of different job opportunities such as working in workshops, printing, packing, sorting etc...Yorkcraft also run a range of courses to help build skills needed for the work place.

They also have links with other public, private and voluntary organisations to arrange supported placements for jobs outside the factory.
