Mental Health

We know that about 1 in 10 youngsters have these kinds of problems at some time in their lives. The CAMHS Strategy for the City of York has been produced by the City of York CAMHS Executive, a partnership of the agencies working closely with children and young people in the city, and particularly concerned with their psychological health and development.

Just 30 - Make time for play!

Play is an essential part children and young people's health and wellbeing as well as yours! It is so important to make time to play and at the same time be more active!

So next time you have a moment, take part in one of the activities with your kids and get your body moving! All use differing amounts of equipment—but what they have in common is they are all active and take little time to set up or organise.

Improving Health Together Factsheets

NHS North Yorkshire and York's Health Improvement Team produce a series of bi-monthly factsheets to support an annual programme of public health campaigns. These factsheets cover a wide variety of topics and give up-to-date, evidenced based information, practical suggestions for delivering effective key messages and signposting to free resources and reliable websites.

Additional supporting information is available on each topic including key documents, local initiatives and further links, on the Staying Healthy section of the PCT website.

Please phone 01756 701765 if you would like to receive an email alert as new issues are published.
