Little Green Rascals Organic Day Nursery is currently recruiting for an experienced Nursery Manager. We are looking for a minimum of 3 years experience in managing a busy nursery and the ideal candidate will also have achieved their EYPS (Early Years Professional Status) - although this is not essential.

The Nursery Manager will be expected manage a team to provide high quality, flexible childcare for families from the local communities.

The Nursery Manager will oversee the operation of the day nursery to the highest standards, ensuring that the best possible environment and care is provided for young children.

You will report directly into the Nursery Owner.

We are looking for someone to work full time with children aged 2-5 years. The sucessful applicant should have good commuicatio skills, work well on own iniciative as well as in a team. • 3 years’ post-qualification experience and 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Knowledge of OFSTED standards
• Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team
• Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the daily management of the setting in accordance with the requirements of company policy, OFSTED and any other relevant legislation.
To be familiar with and act according to Child Protection guidelines as set down by the local Safeguarding board or Social Services
Deliver and ensure that all team members are following company policies and procedures at all times.
Have a passionate about delivering excellent standards of care
Assist the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day management for all staff.

Ensure planning of activities for the children is taking place and following the EYFS framework.
Support the Manager with the effective induction of all new staff, ensuring that continuity of care and consistent quality standards are maintained.
