Access and inclusion
Debbie Adair is the Extended Services Development Adviser for Access & Inclusion. The main purpose of her job is to provide high-quality advice and professional guidance to Headteachers and providers across York, in order to develop Extended Services that improve outcomes and remove barriers to access for all vulnerable groups. Debbie will establish and maintain links with key partners to implement innovative approaches to the delivery of inclusive and accessible Extended Services, and to ensure that delivery of services fit with local and national policies such as Aiming High for Disabled Children. In her role, Debbie will advise Headteachers on consultation with children, young people, parents, and partners in order to understand the local community needs for developing inclusive services. Training on inclusion and access will be designed and delivered for school governors and stakeholders, as well as colleagues in the private, voluntary and independent sectors.
