Childrens Social Care Training and Development Pledge
A Message from Eoin Rush - Assistant Director, Children and Families
|
Our Vision In York, we believe that people who work in Childrens Social Care are the best at what they do and should have every support to enable them to maintain the right skills, tools and knowledge to do the job. Our social workers, social care staff and carers work at the heart of the wider Childrens workforce with parents or carers, volunteers and workers from other services like teachers, health visitors and police colleagues and most importantly directly with children and young people to help them be safe, healthy and happy. |
Our commitment is to provide the best possible continuous professional development arrangements for all of our staff and this is at the cornerstone of our Vision.
These dedicated Children and Families training pages are an important resource for our Childrens Social Care staff to achieve this vision and to provide staff with the training and support that they need and deserve.
We will regularly update these pages with further training opportunities to support our new Childrens Social Care organisational arrangements. The focus and nature of these further training and development opportunities will be informed by direct feedback from staff and a process of ongoing training needs analysis to meet the needs of all.
