Art Camp / Arts Awards / City centre exhibition

At According to McGee, nationally recognised qualifications Arts Awards are delivered with energy in a relaxed environment. The young artists will learn how to draw and paint a wide number of subject matters in a wide variety of mediums: charcoal, Indian ink, brusho ink, acrylic, pastels are just a few of a variety of techniques here. At the end of it is a sketchbook, a portfolio, and a canvas masterpiece. Later in 2012 well have an exhibition to celebrate the young artists work - friends and family invited.

Pottery

Learn how to hand-building using real clay by slab-building, pinching, coiling modelling. You will be shown these techniques then you can make two pieces of your own choice from an aeroplane to a zebra you can decide yourself. You will then be able to texture paint them. The work will then be glazed fired for you to pick up in 2- 3 weeks time

Family Saturdays at York Art Gallery

New Generation Singing Club

The club continues to meet throughout school term-time on Thursday evenings. We offer vocal training as well as opportunities to sing a wide range of music in many different styles. Members bring their own ideas and enthusiasm to the club and we encourage development of confidence through regular performances around York. New members are always welcome.

Cost

Cost is £30 per term payable in either termly or half-termly instalments and the first session is FREE.
