Health Visiting & Midwifery

Health Visiting

Health Visitors provide support and advice for families right through from pregnancy until the child goes into school at the age of 5 years. Health visitors work closely with Children’s Centres, and people in the health service such as family doctors and midwives. They understand child health and development and can also help if your child’s behaviour is worrying you. There is a team of health visitors based at Acomb Health Centre and 'The House' at Hob Moor Children's Centre, who work in the Westfield area.

Becky Dunn is the Health Visitor linked to Westfield Children’s Centre contact her on 724881.

Midwifery

Midwives work as part of the multi-disciplinary team from the Children's Centre to support families in the locality.
