Health Visiting & Midwifery

Health Visiting

Health Visitors provide support and advice for families right through from pregnancy until the child goes into school at the age of 5 years. Health visitors work closely with Children’s Centres, and people in the health service such as family doctors and midwives. They understand child health and development and can also help if your child’s behaviour is worrying you. There is a team of health visitors based at Haxby and Wigginton Health Centre, who work in the New Earswick area.

Wendy Lancaster is the Health Visitor linked to The Family Tree Children’s Centre at New Earswick and can be contacted on 01904 724684.

There is a Health Visitor who works as part of the Integrated Services team called Linda Boddy.

Midwifery

Midwives work as part of the multi-disciplinary team in the Children's Centre to support families in the locality. There is a Midwife who works as part of the Integrated Services team in the New Earswick area called Julie Howe.
