Health Visiting & Midwifery

Health Visitor Team 

The Health Visitor team provides for this area, a support and health advice service for families with children from birth to five years old. The teams have both Health Visitors and Child Development Workers. Our work is divided into three parts:-

1. families who need routine Health Visitor team support
2. families who would benefit from short term support and advice
3. families who require long term Health Visiting.

We have expertise in Breast Feeding, Child Health, Child Development and Behaviour, as well as relationships and family health. We work closely with Children Centre Integrated Services team, other agencies and community groups.

Midwifery

Midwives work as part of the multi-disciplinary team in the Children's Centre to support families in the locality.
