YorOK

Welcome to the YorOK newsletter for September 2011!

Colleagues,

I’m delighted to introduce myself as the new chair of the YorOK Board. The September Board meeting was my first meeting - and a busy one! There was real evidence of strong partnership working at both the strategic and delivery levels of our work and I was particularly impressed by the commitment and passion of colleagues presenting items on a range of topics from across different agencies.

I’m really pleased to have this opportunity to help steer the children’s partnership agenda through this next period of change, and look forward to becoming more involved in the work of YorOK.

If you have anything to share get in touch and submit an article.

Takeover Week!

Would you benefit from fresh ideas, creativity and the chance to listen to children and young people?

Running from 7th to 11th November, Takeover Week gives children and young people the chance to work with adults and be involved in decision-making. Children and young people benefit from the opportunity to experience the world of work and make their voices heard, whilst adults and organisations gain a new perspective on what they do.
