There are lots of different ways that you can get involved! It could be finding an activity you like, it could be volunteering or it could be having your voice heard. Find your way of getting involved below!
Take Part
Take Part was the name of a project to get children and young people more involved in the democratic process. This could be through ward committees, school councils and York's Youth council. Although the name may of changed the work continues. Find out how you can get involved!
York Youth Council
York Youth Council are a group of young people who represent young people across the city. They work on a number of campaigns to make York a better place for young people. Some examples they have worked on are the festival of youth, fund raising for a youth cafe and talking the council about policies that they are implementing.

Volunteering
(CVS) offers support to voluntary groups and volunteers (opens in a new window). You can contact them for information about volunteering and seeing what might be right for you. You can call them on 01904 621133. If you are 16 - 25 years old then contact Lisa Buckley, if you are over 25 then speak to Claire Shepherd.

Youth4U – Young Inspectors
Youth4U – Young Inspectors is a programme that aims to give you the chance to look at services available in your area and tell the people in charge of them what you think.
